Strange Days

Saw a strange protest banner in Paris a few weeks back. It was a little gathering of Franco-Lebanese protesters angry at Israel. Their sign read, in French: "Every people has the right to defend its land and nation." Which seems to be a pretty good argument for Israel invading Lebanon. And I wondered if any of them registered that. Also, noticed that I didn't see one passerby pay any attention to the protest. So, when I hear about how the French are boiling with hatred for Israel, usually from some blogger who's never left Kansas, I'm a bit skeptical.

Offense being a good defence? Hmm. I'm not so convinced.

Well, a lot of people feel that way. But, they were attacked...
