And so he goes.
The vastly entertaining novelist, and for a curmudgeon, the surprisingly good natured man, Kurt Vonnegut has died at 84. The absurd will breathe a bit easier today.

Shouting about art and culture from an ivory soapbox in a lonely corner of Mall University. Come on in- the ennui is fine! Note: No spam shall live.

About two or three years ago, Kurt Vonnegut came to the University of New Mexico to give a talk and Holly and I went to see him. Well, the word "talk" seems kind of formal since mostly, he rambled in an entertaining fashion for a couple of hours.
He was, however, kind enough to share with us the secret of the meaning of life, which he summarized as "we were put here on this planet to fart around."
So long, KV.
