Anyone up for a group read & discuss?
The most excellent author Neal Stephenson has a new novel that addresses the social issues of societal integration of new technologies. Sounds like exactly the sort of issues we like to talk about here. IO9 has some write-up and a brief interview.

I am up for reading it. But, it will have to be slow and fitful right now, since I am currently dissertating.
No worries, you read 10x faster than I do, and the book won't be as easy to acquire here.
But .. I haven't finished the Baroque Cycle yet!

Good bedtime reading. When you fall asleep they thunk into your lap, jogging you enough to turn off the light and punch up the pillow.
