For those of you who could use a film of dancers and a fouth way enneagram right about now...
Shouting about art and culture from an ivory soapbox in a lonely corner of Mall University. Come on in- the ennui is fine! Note: No spam shall live.

Can you explain what I was supposed to get from that? (seriously)
because the vast majority of dance is, for me, much like showing card tricks to a dog. I just do not get it.
It was flickery and I started to wonder if I was going to discover a previously undiscovered seizure disorder, but I'm pretty sure that wasn't really the point of it.
I don't know that I intended anyone to get anything in particular from it. I like watching dancing because I am unable to tie my shoes without hurting myself, so it's impressive to me. As a klutz, I like watching people who can move with ease. Also, what they were doing there seems extremely difficult to me, at least following the pattern without spinning into a wall. So that's what I like about it.
Hmm, I didn't really mean what you intended. I figure you were intending to share a cool thing. Probably what I was trying to ask was, what did the choreographer intend the audience to get from this? I mean, it's tied into some quasi mysticism stuff, but... what's the... is there a message or ...?
See, I don't even know what *question* to ask!
Let me see...
For Gurdijeff, the ennagram was supposed to be an image of any natural process. I take that with a grain of salt.
But he said that this was an ancient symbol, which I think he said he got from the sufis of central asia, and several other writers have said that the ennagram is originally of sufi origin. The dancing is interesting to me because it's in the style of the traditional sufi dervishes, and it demonstrates them dancing in the enneagram formation, which I had never seen before.
There is a page on sufi enneagrams here.

Again though- take it all with a grain of salt.
