As we covered last year, I am a really big fan of rock bands writing Christmas songs. 'I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday' by Roy Wood and Wizzard is one of the best, even moreso in these absurd costumes.

Did you happen to see the film Love Actually? Because these bands doing christmas tunes reminds me very much of Bill Nighy's character converting his last hit to a christmas song as a comeback maneuver. It's kind of entertaining, but more in a humiliating way, than anything else. It kind of reeks of "contractual obligation"... (to me. But I'm a grinch)
That's what I always think with the T Rex Christmas song... But, I guess Marc Bolan never really got the chance to burn out or make a comeback.
I think Britney Spears has done some sort of Christmas song this year however...
