Walk to the Convenience Store

(Note: Video is very shaky- I am definitely not a professional cameraman!)

I was talking below about the older suburb that we live in. Here's what it looks like on my regular walk to the convenience store- since closed.

I'm actually thinking of making another one of these since I read how to make a DIY steadycam and remove all the jiggling. I once had the dream of creating a website that would collect videos of short walks from around the globe, but abandoned it because I figured I'd be the only person interested in it!

If you build it they will come.

I've actually considered doing something of this kind as well, but was uncertain what destination to pick to keep the time length reasonable.

Actually, it'd be kind of interesting to set up a site where people could submit short films and photos on the topic of "places I walk to" without any real definition beyond that. Wonder what would turn up?

It might make an interesting site, provided it was international. I wanted to figure out a way to link them all to a large map akin to Google's. The problem is I still can't figure out where to swipe the bandwidth from, or how to pay for it, if necessary.

I'd have to check the plan but I believe we can host more domains under my plan without incurring additional cost.

It's shared hosting so you could not run Google from it, but for most purposes DH is pretty good.

Thanks- I'd appreciate that!
