I really wish people could be bothered with ornamental architectural details these days. Most of the new buildings look like aluminum boats around here.

Shouting about art and culture from an ivory soapbox in a lonely corner of Mall University. Come on in- the ennui is fine! Note: No spam shall live.

If I were CEO for a day the buildings we work in would have my company name chiseled in marble over the front door. With decorative doo-dads on the building relating to what we doo: griffins holding up circuit boards, or fairies with PDAs.
And then I'd get sacked by the board for wasting capitol on doo-dads.
It's a sad old world, sometimes.
I'm all for bringing it back too. The buildings in Toronto look more like mirrored boxes, but the effect is the same. At least, Hamilton still has it's old buildings.
