Yep. We're planning a little field trip down to the Slovenian border next weekend, and there's a slight chance I'll be going across to Budapest for a concert on Tuesday. For the most part, it is no more effort than crossing a state line in the US, thanks to the EU.
I think the only really tricky part is automobile regulations, but I don't have one, so that doesn't involve me.
