Suvive Style 5+ [part 2]

And now, my notes on part 2 of Survive Style 5+:

Now, I want to try pako noodles, so clearly the fake advert worked.

I had no idea the toll that hypnosis can take on a family.

I think I've now seen enough Japanese films to know that the Japanese do not stay dead.

Hey, there's a Screamin' Jay Hawkins song in there!

I'm going to try using the line, "Out of respect for my hair, forgive me!"

There's probably a connection between the decline in the number of scarecrows and an increased number of crow attacks.

A touching death for the gay breaking and entering kid.

A couple that can reconcile after multiple murders, dismemberment, and burning probably qualifies as some sort of Christmas miracle.

Bird-Dad can fly! I wish more movies would end that way.

The sets and costumes are still pretty amazing. I have to wonder if Pee Wee's Playhouse comes across as a documentary in Japan.

The gay kid didn't even die! Despite having had a very touching death scene.

I really thought the ending was just super. I was smiling all the way through, from when the guy jumped out the window.

Also... broccoli... what's your function?!

Oh, and what was with your chest x-ray, anyway?

I haven't heard. The hope is that this x-ray shows the lung infection is gone. I do feel a lot better than I did a week ago and I'm no longer coughing really. So, we'll see what my GP says.

The movie probably worked for me because it had two things that I always find funny: hypnosis and crow attacks. It also occurred to me that comedians should do more dumb hypnosis jokes. For example:

"I came from a typical middle class background. My father was a professional hypnotist, and my mother was a lamp, and occasionally a nymphomaniac milkmaid."

Thank you! I'll be here all week!
