With you and Claire, my guess is the depth of feeling goes much deeper than that. Two of my neighbors cats seem very friendly and attached even to me, and always want my attention when they see me out, yet I have never fed them, not even once. But I'm a cat person, so I guess they sense my feelings, or whatever. Even more true of my own cat.SecondComingOfBasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03336586430250490679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10166090.post-1148494114183921552006-05-24T11:08:00.000-07:002006-05-24T11:08:00.000-07:00It's strange- they're not supposed to have much in...It's strange- they're not supposed to have much in the way of long-term memory, but she remembers the kid next door who we get to feed her, even if she doesn't see him for months. And with us, the second we walk in the door, she wants to be picked up. She hates everyone else though.Rufushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17762279210783841414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10166090.post-1148475531751680612006-05-24T05:58:00.000-07:002006-05-24T05:58:00.000-07:00Yes, of course it is. Just after the first day, I went in and the minute she saw me she started going nuts, hitting her head up against the screen in her cage and purring.

I've heard animals don't realy have any concept of time. I don't know if that's true or not, but suppossedly a week can be like a day to them. Or it could be the other way around.

But yes, animals, from my experience, form a child like bond to their owners, and the closer you are to them, or them to you, the more likely that any disruption in their routine can affect them.SecondComingOfBasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03336586430250490679noreply@blogger.com
