Today's French Word
Femme de foyer/ femme au foyer: Housewife.
(I once mistakenly translated it as nanny, but was quickly corrected on that!)

I have a colleague with whom I play "word of the day". He gives me a work-related French word, and I do the same for him in English.
Congratulations on achieving your proficiency. My French writing and comprehension are considered 'bilingual', but I'm still working on regaining my spoken proficiency. It's definitely a confidence issue for me.
Oh totally! A lot of my time in France was spent listening to people, but I did very little speaking. It's the most intimidating part of it I think.
