Do Fanatics sense Irony?

Religious fanatics seem to be completely impervious to irony. Case in point- religious militants have decapitated two women in north-western Pakistan, who are thought to have been prostitutes. After decapitating the women, the mutants left a note with the bodies accusing them of of "acts of obscenity". One imagines that the irony escapes them completely. It's sort of a horrible irony too, rather akin to a parent killing their daughter and calling it an ''honor killing''.

Hey, lay off. It's hard to see irony when you are already busy looking for God's message in everything.

It's true. One of the real flaws with the holy books, in my opinion is that they don't have any jokes in them.

Hell even a few raunchy limericks to lighten the mood could go pretty far.

“First time I have read the bible / It had struck me as unwitty / I think it may started rumor / That the Lord ain’t got no humor.”

I think fishnet rhymes with beget.

Sick, sick, sick.

The perpetrators in "honor" killings cases think they are restoring their family's honor by killing. This is because, in some cultures, a family's honor resides in its females, so they are held to a different and higher standard.

I'm pretty sure the perpetrators lack any sense of irony.

My point exactly. It's hard to imagine anything less honorable than killing your child. I'll take a look at your book. Thanks for commenting.
